Zoebox is a macOS application that helps you run local development services (like PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, and Redpanda) on your Mac. It's designed for local development and testing only.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Zoebox on devices you own or control, solely for local software development and testing.
Zoebox downloads container images (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Redpanda) from public registries at your request. You are responsible for:
We don't bundle or distribute these services — we just make them easy to run locally.
Zoebox includes components licensed under the GNU General Public License v2:
Build scripts and configuration are included in the app bundle. Full source code is available at kernel.org and e2fsprogs.sourceforge.net.
Zoebox is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption — regardless of the cause.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Zoebox (if any).
We may release updates to Zoebox. These terms apply to all versions unless we publish new terms with an update.
Your license terminates automatically if you violate these terms. Upon termination, stop using Zoebox and delete all copies.
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany.
If you're in the EU, nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable EU law.
